For the best audio quality try one of the products from Edirol,
www.edirol.com
These interfaces allow you to bring in many different audio sources at
different levels for recording on your PC or laptop. I also believe that
Emu, www.emu.com makes a PC Card interface that has good quality audio
inputs.
