Made some progress, still need some advice.
I found the mickysoft patch on the URL I posted
earlier, and it installed without a problem.
Put in the PC Card USB port, and booted.
Win95 OSR2 found the hardware, then became
very confused. It could not find OPENHCI.sys.
So I helped it out by pointing it to the Windows/System
directory, where it found the file (albeit dated 4/10/97).
The file was on a Win95a ROM; my OSR2 ROM is
compressed using some method only IBM can
decipher.
SO....all is Ok?
No!
The USB gadget I am trying to use demands software
be loaded before its use.
During the install process, it fails, saying:
"Host Controller USB Support: can not convert to USB
driver"
Say what?
If this makes any sense to you -- or if you just have a reasonably
educated guess -- please post a response.
So near.........
