Thanks to all who replied.
The TP760XL using OSR2 (B) is now USB ready (I think)
using a dual port HiVal 2 port pc card.
I forgot to turn this on in TP utilities, and that helped a lot.
In Add new programs, it shows:
USB Supplement to OSR2
The driver version is
4.03.1214
Device Manager reports
Universial Serial Bus Controller
Generis USB Hub
Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub
Two glitches remain, though.
An "Unknown Device" with a big yellow "!" appeared
elsewere in Device Manager (could be the digital
scope?)
And the dam*n Win98 install software so far can'ta be
coaxed to load under Win95OSR2 so as to make
the scope work...

think some of the original buggy 98 drivers would work for win95 because they were
same drivers, but not for the new SE version. But if you do go with the new win98 SE
version, it is much better than the initial reports of win98 though. One of my clients has
the original win98 and it's a horror, auto removing programs and losing pointers all by
itself. I have the win98 SE on my new Dell workstation at work and it is pretty rock solid.
The only thing I don't like is the windows explorer interface, but that can be altered to
look like the old win95 explorer though. Other than that, it's identical, with the nice
added feature of recognizing more than 2gb of hard drive space, and summarizing it
and it's free space correctly. I used to be a die hard win95 fan, but now I just wait until
the second edition and I usually get impressed. Good luck either way though.
