[760ED] Suspend problems in Win98SE

Hi there,
    I'v had Win98SE installed on my 760ED for a while now and never really bothered to try and solve this little problem. I'd like to know why I can't suspend in Win98SE. When I try to do the 'FN-F4', it just beeps at me. I have problems with hybernating as well. I deleted and then re-created the hibernation file, with no luck. I own a PCMCIA 10/100NIC, but neither suspend nor hibernate will work with it removed(or in for that matter). Any ideas?
