I've got to say that I've found NT 4 to be quite stable on my ThinkPad,
with the exception of Adobe Acrobat 4, which hangs every time I've ever
tried it. Acrobat 3, on the other hand has been fine.

I've kept up to date with service packs (at 6a now), and the various device
driver updates, which has probably helped. For the explorer crashes, I
tend to use Mijenix PowerDesk rather than Windows Explorer, so I almost
never have that problem.

The only difficulty I ever run into that's peculiar to the ThinkPad is the
occasional lockup when coming back from hibernation or standby modes. These
tend to require the magic reset button.
