I've not used a 380, but w2k pro found all of my hardware on my 770z. That
included video, modem, sound, pcmcia, etc. I would suspect it would do
similar on the 380.

Subject: W2K Pro on TP 380Z?
Has anybody updated their ThinkPad 380Z from NT 4 to W2K Pro?
I'm seriously thinking of updating my system in order to get
better power management and finally be able to use the USB
ports, but thought I'd ask first to see if there are any known
problems before I begin.
My 380Z is currently running the IBM pre-load of NT Workstation 4
with 96MB RAM. The only conflicts/problems I expect I'll see (if
any) are with IBM specific drivers.
Thanks in advance.
