Bill or anyone else,
What's your opinion on the 12g Hds?? I can't play in the 18g price
range, so I'm trying to decide between the 12g Hitachi (cheapest), the
Toshiba(largest cache), and the IBM 12GN Travelstar(It's an IBM ;).
I know the Tosh. and IBM have 3 yr warranty (need to check on the Hitachi),
but I can't find any kind of reviews on these any where. From looking at
some PC Mag Laptop reviews, the Hitachi and IBM seem close, varied from
vendor to vendor. Hitachi is in some of the TP 600s according to the
review. I've seen nothing on the 12g Toshiba.
Oh and I have a TP i1460, any comments, recommendations on those?? I like
it so far, but I need to spend some more time trying to tweak it. I've only
added 128mg more RAM to it, as of now.
thanks,
Rob Watson
