Sorry if I wasn't clear enough in my request: I do want to use the
TrackPoint features, but I don't need to see the icon in the tray all the
time. If I understand correctly, you can't activate the Trackpoint without
having its icon in the tray at the same time? I'm not really sure what's
the benefit of having the icon on display in the tray all the time: once I
have adjusted the Trackpoint to my liking, I don't need to see its icon
everyday, and if I need to make changes, I can always go to the Control
Panel. Anyway, it looks like this is part of the "Windows experience" ...
