I have installed several versions of Red Hat and Slackware... including
on three different servers and several desktops. These included 486's,
Pentiums, Pentium Pro's, and Pentium II... But never on a Thinkpad...
and never on a Pentium III.
We never had any problems with stability with either product... and got
more help on Red Hat... I think they are both pretty good, but there is
more free stuff with with Red Hat... and more self styled experts
