I must agree on this one. Slack7 is installed on four of my servers at the
house and haven't had any problems(including my 760ED). You'll find that it
is just as robust as any other distro. IMHO slack is a no-BS OS and is more
down-to-earth in configuration. RH rides on the edge of being bloatware. But
of course it is all a matter of preference. :-)
