The power brick on my TP560 has started to flake, apparently because of where
the DC-out wire enters the brick (when I wiggle it, power comes on and off).
I have 2 questions: (a) Are these things repairable? I can't even figure out
how to get into the
power brick - no screws, or slots for twisting a coin:-) (b) I have a nice,
regulated
13.8VDC 2.5 amp (3 A with surge) power supply I used to use for bench-testing
automotive electronics/radios; can I use this temporarily until I fix or
replace the
other brick? The TP power output is 16V/2.2A, so it's only off by a couple of
volts.
(Even if I could use the 13.8V supply just to recharge the battery it would be
sufficient
for a while.)

Thanks,
David Ross
