At a certain point, common sense HAS to kick in. :)
"200mhz becomes LIKE 300mhz." == "We remove some of
the Windows Slog to speed up your system. Drop to
a real DOS prompt or run Linux and we're screwed"
"We will reduce the temperature of your system" ==
"We will eliminate wasted clock cycles and instuctions
so your CPU can rest and cool. Want to see it heat
up again even with shareware...er...our software
running? Run Quake3 timedemos demos all night!"
"You can advance the internal clock speed of your motherboard,
they have 2 different banks of jumpers that you can set in
the bios or manually on the board " == "We hope your MB can
overclock. If not, this information is useless....er, don't
Abit MBs use jumpers too?" <g>
"The cpu internal clock speed selector itself ,does not affect
the rate at which the peripheral devices work,it only improves
the performance of your microprocessor " == "Please only pick
a perfectly divisible front side bus multiplier so your PCI
and AGP will remain in spec so I won't be responsible for
crashes or lock ups, because Intel chips are CLOCK LOCKED!"
Overall, this is like saying:
"cacheman makes you system with 32megs LIKE a
system with 64megs" == "Cacheman manages memory
and system resources better than Windows, but it
AIN'T 64megs!"
(BTW, cacheman is a great program and it's FREE <g>)
Personally, I would bet it is some shareware/freeware
utilities coupled with a poorly written text file or
database with information that is easily found on the
Internet if you can spare, oh, 30 seconds using a
serch engine. >;-P
