You need SAMBA (which is essentially a Unix device driver for the W95
file system). I've
never installed this myself (I considered it for a Solaris system, but
didn't have enough sysadmin access to install it) but there is an active
Usenet group as well as lots of stuff elsewhere
on the internet (search for SAMBA). There might even be a Linux Howto
somewhere.

Subject: PLIP software for W95 to connect with Linux

Hi all.

Has anyone successfully connected a Linux box with a W95 box so that
Linux
can read all the W95 Hard drive?

I can mount a hard drive in linux as long as it's on the same computer,
but
I need to network the two.
Currently I own a Laplink cable.

I can boot both into W95 and use Direct Cable Connect, but it's time
consuming to reboot all the time when all I want is to install a file
into
Linux.

Comments would be appreciated.

Cheers
J
