The X and Z models were successors to my 264010U; perhaps IBM meant the
footnote to read
"18. Supports ThinkPad 560/X/Z models only" instead of "18. Supports
ThinkPad 560X/Z models only";
the former would serve to distinguish the 560 family from the 7xx, 6xx,
and 3xx families, whereas as it
stands it seems to distinguish the 560 from its successors.
Anyway, thanks to all for the input, I will trust that any of these will
work as long as it has the
barrel pin output. (After the surgery required to make my old adapter
work it is a bit
delicate, and I would like something more robust for normal use.)
