IF (make note of the big if!) the drive is recognized, you might be able to
access 6.4GB of it, but there is a possibility that the drive configuration
(SHD) would wind up giving you access to only half (4GB) of the drive. This is
all dependent on what drive configs are in the BIOS.

Were I you in this situation, I'd use Disk Manager to setup the drive in this
system. You can download it from both the IBM and Ontrack websites, or if you'd
prefer, I could send you a copy. I have about 50 of them around after upgrading
some desktops systems for a client and all of the new IBM HDs we bought came
with a copy in the box.
