What might have helped Jason, is saving the image as a .gif and cropping in.
I saved the file for reference like this and it is now only 3Kb !!!!

First off, let me just say, I'm sorry; It won't happen again since I won't be ever sending any attachments to any mail list.
It appears that in my eagerness to prevent the users of the list having to deal with the above mentioned hassle; I caused another hassle. I accidently enclosed the un-zipped version of the "little bitmap" causing a 300K file to be sent to three separate mail-lists. My sincerest apologies. That's what happens when you do things at 2:30 in morning.
