It's not that I disbelieve you, but I just went to www.ibm.com,
clicked on "shop IBM", and put that number into the "know the part?
type it here" box. It came back with the Y-connector at U$39.

I agree with James's reply, maybe you should call. If they can't
help you, remember that the Ottawa IBM store has (had) two in stock
at C$38 (~U$26) each. Fedex would be at least $20 more from Ottawa
to the southwestern US. Let me know if this would be helpful.
(I'm on eastern time so I'd need to know fairly early tomorrow).
