Floppy drives for TP 755

Hi all,
Diskette drive for 760 / 765 series TP is FRU # 29H9230 (IBM price of $80.75),
 BUT for the 355, 360 and 755 TP the diskette drive is FRU # 84G2269 (IBM
price of $ 168.00)
Both drives seem to be physically the same, and the cheaper floppy seems to
work just fine in a 755CS
Anybody know why the difference?
