I have something called the Small Soliders Design Lab, a CD Rom. It loads
fine, and inevitably it dies with a message that in part reads
/Cards/CRD2196.ss This must be about the display, I suspect, since it
sometimes locks up as well. It uses DirectX version 5.0, and that is
provided with the CDRom. It needs a Windows compatible SVGA card, and
would prefer a 3dfx compatible card.
I know the program can work on other computers, perhaps having more memory
or speed, and I know that the machine has the minimum specified
requirements to run it. Any hints would be appreciated.
