I have a TP 570, which is suspect is similar to the TP 600 re audio
input and output, and encountered the same problem with the
microphone/headset, Andrea ANC-600, that I ordered from Speech
Controlled Computer Systems. Going by the information in the SCCS and
Andrea (www.andreaelectronics.com) web sites, I ordered the Thinkpad
Adapter (Andrea T100) along with the headset.

However, the Thinkpad Adapter didn't work with the TP 570 because the
TP570 doesn't have the metal outer shell power tap present on some
earlier TPs. Instead, the TP 570 is "SoundBlaster compatible", which I
guess means that the power tap is the tip of the microphone jack. To
use this, you need the Andrea P100 Power Plug Adapter (labeled
"Converter Plug"), which came free with the ANC-600 that I ordered from
SCCS. Using the Converter Plug on the external microphone input, the
microphone worked fine.

Hope this helps.
