Birger,

2 good ideas, but neither worked! I remember
clicking the box to enable "401" months ago,
but it never changed anything. Disabling it
again doesn't seemed to have helped either.

Also, no signal in into MS Sound Recorder
application unless I put the plug partially out
as described below.

Any other ideas?
