The information you seek was not in a "footer" but rather in the header
information of EVERY e-mail sent via this list.
To unsubscribe, you must not only send a message with the subject being
'unsubscribe' (without the quotes), but you must also send it to the
proper address (which is DIFFERENT from the normal address used for
messages. So, either send a message as follows:
TO: thinkpad-request_at_cs.utk.edu
SUBJECT: unsubscribe
or click on the link below:
List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:thinkpad-request_at_cs.utk.edu?Subject=unsubscribe>
The door to return is always open. Just re-join the list the same way you
did originally.
