Bound to happen sooner or later - the power connector on my trusty 755CD
got bumped the wrong way and broke.
At the end of the cord is a 2in x 0.5in x 0.5in "terminator" with two
contacts in one end in a square female socket. Into that snaps a
male-mail dual ended adaper plug - this is the piece that has broken.
An autopsy reveals that end that mates with the thinkpad has 4 contacts.
On is unused, another is connected to one of the power supply leads,
the other two are connected/jumpered to the remaining power supply lead.
Probably too much to ask, but is this small part available by itself?
If so, what's a good source?
Or do I need to spring for an entire new power supply?
