I've checked some local dealers and there are two main prices for
Windows 2000 (Professional, upgrade from Win95).
The boxed version is consistently C$299 (U$200) although one
mail-order place wants C$279+shipping.
I found a few sources of the OEM version for about 30% less
(C$205-C$215). This is the CD only, possibly with a small "user
guide". I have to assume this is legal if they're offering on
their websites. Would this be a reasonable way to go? Does anyone
know what else is in the box that I'd lose out on?
Thanks!
