--Um I dunno about everyone else here, but I digress Rob. I'm here because
I love the product (IBM thinkpads) and love tinkering with them and all
other computers. While this list has been really helpful to me for my work,
I thought this list was for the sharing of knowledge and general enjoyment
of the Thinkpad experience. Sure we may all be adults, but it's the kid
inside of us all who loves to tinker and play with our laptops in different
ways. I don't believe we need to keep anything "professional" on this list,
just friendly. If the list feels like bashing microsoft, let's bash
microsoft. Through our bellyaching one our more talented members may find a
solution to our problems. Sure we accept microsofts products, and the ones
of us who don't simply use Linux, or Beos instead. In essence I'd say it's
all good. Everyone of our comments are great so long as they don't hurt
anyones feelings (sans Mr. Bill Gates-his feelings don't matter here.). The
most recent charlitan hunt that went on to expose the phony TP 600 sellers
on Ebay is a good example of the spirit of this group. It wasn't
professional but it was great to see a bunch of guys and gals watch out for
eachother and for prospective TP owners as well. So if Jon wants to bash
MS, fine. Just don't bash eachother, we're all on the same side right?
Maybe Jon knows of an ideal OS for a certain TP model. Jon? On the
Internet we've still got a right to our own opinions and freedom of speech
right? Let's use it for something nifty! That's it, just my 2cents and a
billion in change. =) Play on!
