Hi Garrett,
I couldn't find that exe on the Win98SE cd, however it was on the Win95
OSR2.5 cd. I ran the program, selected my video source, and played around a
bit. It seems I'm still having the same trouble as I did with the other
programs-I set it up to record a 15fps video, 10seconds long. When it asked
me for the space to allocate for the video, I put in 50mb...The status bar
at the bottom said it was setting up for capture, the HDD was spinning,
however the system was locked after that.
For the entire time I'v had my 760, the 'IBM MPEG PCI Bridge' device
under DeviceManager->Sound, Video, game controllers has had a yellow 'X'
over it. When I go to the properties, it tells me "The MMDEVLDR.VXD device
loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver (code 2). It is
sitting on IRQ 11, which is setup in the IBM setup program. It is not
conflicting with any other device as far as I know.
This is the device listed on IRQ 11: 'Trident
9685/9680/9682/9385/9382/9385-1 PCI, which is my display IRQ. These *should*
be the same IRQ, right? (trident video display and capture device?)
-Thanks!
-Jamie

Subject: Re: [760ED] Audio/Video recording techniques...
Hello there Jamie
This is killdamac
I have the 760xd as you know, and I have used this a
lot.
On the windows 95 cd, mabey win98 too, havent checked,
there is a file called vidcap32.exe. This will work
with the TPs features. I dont know if it works with
the 3.55 line though. But you do not need it either.
You can use the s-vid jack for recording video and
then the composite for audio. If you do not have an
s-vid jack, like myself, you can get a cable to adapt
that, or build one, like I did. Here is a wiring
link:
http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics/circuits/svideo2cvideo.html
Also, your 760 should be fine recording speed wize.
My 760xd is a 166 with 104mb, and it records without
flaws, even meanwhile I have a IE window open or
something.
I am looking into finding software that is Linux
compatable. I have not yet looked at any of the
included software with Mandrake Red Hat 7, which I
will install soon.
If you have any other questions please email back.
If you wish to chat sometime I use Aol IM, and I will
get ICQ once I get back to my cable modem(on the road
now)
BTW..did you mail that pcmcia tester card, I have not
recived it yet
