I'm in the same category as STeve, I want everything with me all
the time (as Bill Morrow can probably testify). I even stopped
hauling the CD drive with me for a while (but I needed it once so I
started taking it again, but never using it).
Remember too, the assumption here is that the 300G won't weigh any
more than my current 16Gb, i.e. two drives. As it is, I can now
carry 36Gb at the same weight (two, 12.7mm drives). When there's a
150Gb 12.7mm drive (or I think, 17mm in STeve's machine), there
will be no weight penalty.
Right now I'm trying hard not to buy one of the new Walkman-size
CD-RW drives (I have Yamaha 4416) in hopes a small DVD-RW (or at
least -R) drive will become available.
