Its been possible to have sound under linux with the 760ed for a few years
now, it just requires loading the mwave drivers under dos and then doing a
warm boot (using loadlin) to get into linux which leaves the mwave drivers
loaded. Not the
nicest solution but one that worked for me just fine. If you do some
searching you should be able to locate the website which explains how its
done in detail.
