        Ah, okay. I'm just wondering why it is so difficult to get a
Advanced Replacement since it seems easy on the DeskStar drives. I would
rather lose a week of time than lose all the data.

        Really? It seems like with other drives, in the BIOS, you can
enter the parameters and then put it in either CHS mode or LBA Mode and it
would show the total capacity. I'm still wondering if the converter is
the problem since atleast on the ThinkPad, the Advanced Diagnostics just
can't get past the controller when testing HDD-1.
