Sorry, but I would call that misuse. I even think there's something in
the manual about letting it warm up to room temperature before turning
it on. It's got nothing to do with the Thinkpad 600, virtually any TFT
display would do the same. Heck, a *guitar* will stress crack if you do
that to it!
