the 600E and 600X are terrific thinkpads..
IBM sold over 2 million of the things..
that many thinkpad users can't be wrong..

FWIW, if it were me, i would go for the T series over the 600 for the newer
technology and perhaps a larger display..
also consider warranty.. a used 600E might have less warranty than a new T
series..
