You can fit a nice setup with all the essentials in the 540 MB drive, and
Win95 will run "OK" while setting no speed records. Also room to shoehorn
in a minimal install of an older version of MS Office, I've done it on a
755C using a 540MB drive. If memory serves I partitioned the drive and
devoted ~150MB to drive D and compressed it.
Older versions of Word and Excel run pretty well, the biggest perfomance
problem is the browser - try to use MSIE version 4, not 5. I'm tempted to
suggest that you try the latest version of the Opera browser. I tried it,
didn't like it, your opinion might well differ.
