Maybe you have found a new market, or should I say aftermarket. You could
set a little cottage industry down there in Florida and sell the painted
ones on your site for a little premium.

try an auto paint shop..
i have had the same ideas..
midnight blue rather than black..
called BIG Blue,
and Dusky Rose,
and more..
the guy at the shop i spoke to said it would not be a big problem achieving
the
satin finish..
but then i did not have a thinkpad in hand to show him..
apparently, the paint used on these new rubber bumpers on cars is the
material
he thought would do the job..
