That part is straight forward Rob. If I could get to or boot from the CD, I'd
just run setup and then select repair.

Problem now is that I can't seem to get CHKDSK to repair any problems on the
drive and PM5 shuts down after 2% conversion from NTFS to FAT16 or FAT32 with an
indecipherable error code.

Ah well, tomorrow is another day. Perhaps my sole remaining neuron will feel
more like firing after a bit of shuteye.
