Exactly. If you're talking about streaming speed, then disk density plays a
direct role since more bits go by the head every revolution. The only advantage
of faster RPM is more along the lines of seek speed since it may have to wait
almost an entire revolution (~0.2ms) for desired data to come back to the head.

Now that surface density is getting so high, high RPM is less important. That's
good from a noise and temperature standpoint too.
