Retrospect is a very nice backup program--the only one I've seen that does
incremental backups the right way, backing up whatever isn't on the tape (or
CD-R, etc.). The "incremental" backup in most PC backup programs work off
the "archive" flag that the operating system keeps for each file on disk.
That's completely wrong--for example, it doesn't let you make incremental
backups onto two different tapes, as Retrospect does.

The only thing is I didn't see your Sony drive listed on the Retrospect
site:

I suppose you could download Retrospect and try it out:

Retrospect's user interface is a little odd--it's a Mac program (really the
industry standard for the Mac), and the authors ported it to Windows with
the philosophy that they wanted to keep it comfortable and familiar for
their Mac users. That was a bit of a mistake, but it's a good program
nonetheless--and like I said, the only one I've seen that gets incremental
backups right.
