Don't tell my system that, as Dell shipped a full Windows 98 upgrade to
me. I loaded it onto a 760ED for testing and it worked just fine.
However, the 'bloated' size of the OS and some anomolies that cropped up
after a short testing period, lead me to load it onto the Dell box and
reload the Thinkpads disk.

Actually, the upgrade may be as simple as downloading one disk after
Windows95 is installed. This is all I had to do with the 760ED which is
'older' than the 560 series of machines.

I agree with the full install, but make sure that you 'backup' all of
your data. I found that I could reload several programs, but they did
not want to reinstall. I ran my backup and restored the Registry only
and then ran the install. All was well when I finished.
