This is probably an old problem that has been discussed in the past, but
I've just managed to rediscover it with my new thinkpad A20m that I've
plugged in to my home LAN.

Under OS2 (Warp 4, FP12 and corresponding other fixes from warpup CD), if
I'm not at home, and there's no network connection, config.sys hangs up
and says network is not reachable - requires pressing enter to get past
this.

Is there an easy way to handle this Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde existence?

another question - what about SUSPEND. If I suspend, pull the NIC, and
then resume, am I in trouble?

tnx
