Questions please:
1-Does this unit have an internal mic? Not in the spec. If so,
can anyone suggest a way to use it or test it? (E.g. VoIP or
something like that? Could I call someone?) I have Win98 and OS/2.
2-DVD--problem! The instructions say the decoder must be configured
for one of 6 world regions. Since I commute from Boston to
Bangkok, and from time to time travel to Europe, so expect to have
DVDs for multiple regions, what do I do to be able to read from
multiple regions?
Also, the manual warns that if the first disk played is from the
wrong region, something terrible will happen requiring a "recovery"
procedure. What is this? (Sounds like some horrific reinstall--
I need the horrid details before taking the risk.)
I have a DVD to try, but it does not indicate a region. The
decoder instructions say the region code will be on the packaging
but it is not.
3-Where can I easily get the audio output cable? (I.e. can anyone
provide me vendor and p/n from sources in USA e.g. Radio Shack,
MCM et al.?)
