I think IBM is bundling the OSD functions as a separate file now. It's no
longer in the latest Thinkpad configuration files. YOu can d/l it off the
IBM web site.

Randal,

On my A20 with Windows 2000, I right-click on the desktop, then click
properties. On the Display properties dialog, click the "Settings" tab,
then click the "advanced" button.

From there, you should have an "On Screen Display" tab. That tab
contains a check box that lets you enable or disable the On-screen
display.

Hope this helps!

Greg

Subject: T20 Display features?

Hello all,

Those of you familiar with the on-screen display features of
newer
thinkpads...perhaps you can help me. You know--the on-screen things
that
show the volume level when you change it, or the brightness of the
screen,
or even the little keyboard light.

They're not there anymore! I don't know what happened to them.
Which
driver/feature needs to be installed to get them back? I didn't have
any
luck with installing the video drivers again.

For that matter, Win2K doesn't want to shut down all the way for
me
anymore (or suspend properly). This has all happened rather recently.

I've tried updating new drivers, new BIOS, etc. but nothing
seems to fix it.

Help?
