I have just received my new 240X, my primary purpose of purchasing this small
notebook is to edit and store digital photos while backpacking. I normally
load through the PCMCIA slot using a Delkin SmartMedia ATA Type II adapter
card, this has always worked on my Z50 Workpad & 380ED without a hitch, the
latter using WIN 95.

The 240X is loaded with WIN 2000, not sure I like it yet. This is what
happens, if I put the card & memory in & boot, the boot hangs about halfway
through loading Windows, if I remove it it boots fine, then if I reinsert it,
it detects it, but I can't access it as a drive like I do on the other OS,
also the computer freeezes up from time to time while the card is loaded.

Any ideas, it shouldn't need drivers I assume?

Jim.
