Disk partition on X20/W2k

Preparing to install Linux on my X20 with W2K, I launched defrag,
which showed a disk volume called IBM_SERVICE that took up 1 gig
and appears distinct from the C drive. Windows explorer
does not see this.

Should I care about this when defragging and using Fips
to make a Linux partition?

Any advice or explanations are most appreciated.
