i think you can remove this partition..
some strange things have been happening with new thinkpads in these last
months..
for instance:
A21M recovery CD's shipped with A21p machines..
a "test CD" that shipped with a T21..
so a strange but empty (it IS empty, right?) partition is not a big
surprise.. :-)
