I don't like to fool with that stuff so it's been a while for my
760CD, which is in use now and still chugging just fine.
But I thought a special disk had to be used, d/l from the
IBM site, and the process left uninterruptsed until done.
Check and see if you don't need that disk to let your
floppy whirl it's IBM bios software and either upgrade
your bios, or tesll you how to halt the process.
