Well, my modem is pretty much back up to snuff, thank goodness.
Wish I could say how I fixed it, but fact is I fiddled with so many
settings in the Properties box that I don't know which changed did it.
But performance is back in line with what I was used to with Windows
98.
Remaining bugs with the Windows 2000 upgrade seem related to video
performance. MAME and DVD playback aren't as peppy as before - I'll be
fiddling with that as well.
