I would like to increase the memory in my 760ED. Have a 32 meg module that
will not work with any of several 16 meg and 8 meg modules I have here.
Computer will hang after it reads memory, or windows 98SE will boot and
declare the XMS memory unstable, or it will trash the registry.
Would be nice to take the 32 plus the 16 plus the 8 on the module carrier
plus the 8 soldered in and have a 64m system. Doesn't seem to work. 32M
module alone works fine, as do two 16M's etc. and all other combinations
except those involving the 32M and anything else.
This is not one of the 32M modules that's been recalled but it sorts of acts
that way.
Am I missing anything or do I have to hunt for a pair of new modules?
