I use a T20 running Win2k. Last week on the plane to NY, the flight attendent
stepped on the top of the closed notebook when it was in front of my feet (I
was in an exit row, so there was extra space). While it seemed to work
immediately afterward, it has begun to show some serious signs of trouble.
The first symptom was a reddish hue to the display. Now, the display
sometimes turns completely red, especially on a re-boot or when resuming from
suspend. Do any of you have any thoughts on what I'm likely facing in terms
of a repair? My guess is that IBM will not cover this under warrantee, so I'm
also wondering about the likely cost.
Any thoughts?
