I experimented with the built-in SCSI on the Dock 1 long ago. What I recall:
For internal installations, you'll need a special cable, as the internal
connector is not standard. Mounting devices in the bay can be problematic,
too. IBM sold a "SCSI install kit", 66G3538 for this unit.
The external SCSI connector is also non-standard. Older RS/6000 models used
the same type of connector. I might have one of these lying around, in fact.
The adapter is based on an 8-bit Future Domain TMC-950 chip, and it's pretty
slow. Also, the adapter is "invisible" unless SCSI devices are attached.
I did most of my experiments with Linux, but I think that this worked OK
under Win95 without requiring any extra drivers.
Hope this is useful,
tim

Subject: Installation of SCSI HDD in Dock1
Does anyone have any experience in installing a scsi hdd in a dock 1? What
is involved and what size drives are supported w/r/t a 755 series TP?
