Does anyone know if it's possible to cut down on the overhead that the
Mwave drivers take up? I'm running a 760C with 40 MB of memory, and the
Mwave drivers take up about 13MB of RAM, which leaves me only about 5 MB of
physical memory left to run anything in, before NT4 starts swapping stuff
out of virtual memory.
Running without the Mwave drivers seems to dramatically increase system
performance, but I'd like to keep at least the sound drivers intact. I
don't need the modem as I've got an IBM 56K pc-card modem that runs rings
around the Mwave junker.
