Morning List,
I picked up a couple of disk drives at a recent computer show to use in my
old 360P.
The first one I tried configuring has given me un expected results, the
drive may very well be no good.
Naturally the drives are reported to be empty with no partition information
<fdisk confirms this> So, I when about setting the primary dos partition so
I could install Win95. After fdisking and restarting, I then went to format
the drive. Upon completing format I got an error message about cannot
format, bad partition table. Is this drive ready for the trash can? Did I
not follow the correct procedure?
The drive here is an IBM 810MB. I have one more and also a 540, If they're
good, I don't want to do the wrong thing to mess them up if the error above
was mine.
Thanks for any help you may suggest
